The unique composition of these rods, with a 15% silver content, makes them ideal for joining copper to copper without the need for flux, thanks to their phosphorous content. When it comes to joining copper to brass, the use of flux is recommended. Please note that these rods are not suitable for joining ferrous materials, steels, and nickel alloys, and should be used in sulphur-containing atmospheres. They are particularly recommended for joints subject to thermal expansion and service vibration.
When heated above the liquidus temperature, these rods will flow into tight connections, making them excellent for gap-filling where close fit-up does not exist. They offer the highest joint ductility and strength in HVAC-R applications. The melting range of these rods is approximately 645-800°C, and they meet the AWS Specification A5.8-B CuP5. Choose
