For optimal results, follow the preparation steps meticulously. While no sanding is required for pre-coated timber floors, new timber must be sanded. Remove stains, dirt, wax, grease, and oil with mineral turpentine, and any polish with a suitable floor polish remover. Note that floors with highly visible scratches, imperfections, or severe wear must be sanded before coating.
