Crescent Nicholson Chainsaw File 200 x 5.6mm

Vendor Builders Mitre 10

For optimal results, it is essential to use the

Crescent Nicholson round knurl-cut chainsaw file

with an American pattern correctly. Begin by placing the file against the bevelled cutting surface of the teeth at an angle between 20° to 45° with a saw. File from the inside to the outside of the cutter. Ensure that you sharpen all left-hand cutters on one side of the chain before moving to the other side to file all the right-hand cutters. Tighten the tension on the chain to firmly support the cutters when filing.

It is crucial to check the depth gauge height every 2 or 3 sharpenings. The height between the cutting teeth and the depth gauge should be between .020″ to .030″ (5.4mm to 7.6mm). Always follow the manufacturer’s specifications for safe usage to ensure the longevity and efficiency of your chainsaw.
